What is an offset bath?
An offset bath is a hybrid of a the traditional corner bath and the rectangular bath. An offset is far more efficient at maximising space, whilst not losing a great deal of bathing space.
As the Offset is a more recent development within the bathroom industry the corner bath is now seen as more dated and traditional. The offset now more than ever represents a modern and contemporary bathing solution.
Easier tap positioning
The position of taps was always more complicated when installing a corner bath. Due to the inherent design, corner baths did not really have foot end like a rectangular bath. Taps had to either position on the wall, using an overflow filler or by positioning them in corners. The offset doesn't have a problem when it comes to tap locations. You can still mount the taps on the wall and use an overflow filler. However, you also have a tap-end where you can use a standard deck mounted bath tap.
Use as shower baths
Offset baths have a steep foot end, like in a rectangular bath. The advantage is that the bath can also be converted into a shower bath using standard bath screens. If you're looking for an all-in-one bath/shower that uses a minimal amount of space an offset shower bath is perfect for this.
Space Saver Baths
What is a space saver bath?
Like the offset bath, a space saver bath is styled to maximise the space used in a bathroom. Unlike the offset, the space saver sacrifices some bathing space to do this. The foot end of the bath is far smaller than the seating end, as you need less space for your legs. This type of bath is perfect for an en-suite and can even be combined with a bath screen as a space saving shower bath.
Economically and environmentally friendly
Having a bath that is very space efficient means the bath is using far less water than a standard bath. This is more economical and does not waste water. Great for the environment and something that should be a consideration when planning your bathroom.
